This digital archive is a collection of 335 photographs taken by my grandfather, Gilbert Dalibard, during his 12-month military service in Tahiti from January to December 1967. This page gathers his photographs along with his valuable annotations documenting his discoveries in French Polynesia. This archive honors his journey and reveals a key moment in the region's history
During my research for my dissertation, I devoted a significant part of my time to interacting with professionals, exploring the place of constraint in their creative process. This is why I chose to broadcast them in full in the form of a podcast, including both an audio version of the discussions as well as a written transcription of the discussions.
This research unit focuses on the exploration of constraint as a (typo)graphic tool. This approach is punctuated by experiments, tests and variations having the above references as starting points. Each of them exploits the aspect of a constraint in order to produce shapes.
As part of writing my dissertation, I am interested in the notion of constraint and the creative process in typographic design and to what extent does the use of constraint question the notion of typographic expressiveness.
This (Fonts) page brings together various typographic works and tests carried out during my course in DNMADE Augmented Graphics. This place is both a space for archiving and researching my constantly evolving practice of typography.
